Early Saturday morning, a moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale shook several regions of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Azad Kashmir. The tremors originated from the Hindu Kush mountain range in northeastern Afghanistan, with the epicenter located at a depth of approximately 102 kilometers beneath the surface.

Residents in major cities such as Peshawar, Swat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore reported feeling the quake, along with people in multiple adjoining districts. The tremors were also felt in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, as well as parts of neighboring Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
