In a significant gesture of friendship and military cooperation, Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, has awarded Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, the esteemed Patriotic War Medal.
The honour was presented in recognition of General Munir’s outstanding role in strengthening defence collaboration between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
During his visit to the Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ), General Valiyev held detailed discussions with General Munir on expanding military partnerships, enhancing training exchanges, and boosting regional security measures.
Both sides reaffirmed their deep-rooted ties and pledged to work closely for mutual defence cooperation, stability, and lasting peace in the region. This latest development reflects the trust and strategic bond that continue to grow between the two brotherly nations.
