IAF Chief Claims Six Pakistani Aircraft Destroyed in Operation Sindoor

Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh has revealed that India successfully downed six Pakistani aircraft during May’s Operation Sindoor.

According to Singh, the destroyed aircraft included five fighter jets and one Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) plane. Reports suggest the AEW&C was targeted from nearly 300 kilometers away using the advanced Russian-made S-400 missile system — marking one of the largest recorded surface-to-air kills in modern military history.

The Air Chief further claimed that Indian forces carried out precision strikes on Pakistan’s Sargodha Air Base, causing damage to several additional aircraft stationed on the ground.
