KARACHI – In a groundbreaking medical achievement, a team of doctors at Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital successfully removed a metal lock from the stomach of a 23-year-old woman—without performing open surgery.
The young woman, a resident of Khokhrapar with a history of mental health challenges, was rushed to the hospital after complaining of intense abdominal pain. Following a thorough examination, X-ray imaging revealed a solid metal object lodged in her stomach—a lock she had accidentally ingested.
