over 114500 applications filed and 3500 seat's left for govt Hajj scheme for 2026

 


ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has revealed that more than 114,500 Pakistanis have already applied for Hajj 2026 under the government quota, leaving only 3,500 seats available.


According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, designated banks will continue to accept applications until the quota is completely filled. He urged intending pilgrims to submit their forms at the nearest nominated bank branches without delay, warning that the process will close immediately once the last seats are taken.


Officials highlighted that the record number of applications reflects the deep spiritual commitment and strong desire of Pakistanis to perform the sacred pilgrimage next year.


The Government Hajj Scheme 2026 offers two packages:


Long Stay (38–42 days)


Short Stay (20–25 days)



The cost ranges between Rs 1.15 million and Rs 1.25 million, with an initial deposit of Rs 500,000 to Rs 550,000. The remaining balance will be collected starting November 1, 2025.


With seats running out quickly, the ministry has advised applicants to act promptly to secure their place in the upcoming Hajj.
