Punjab Government Launches 30,000 Scholarships for Undergraduate Students

The Government of Punjab has announced an ambitious new initiative—the Chief Minister’s Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2025—which will award 30,000 scholarships to deserving students across the province.

Who Is Eligible?

Applicants must have passed their intermediate exams (FA, FSc, ICS, or an equivalent qualification) with a minimum of 70% marks.

Candidates must hold a Punjab domicile.

For admission to public sector universities, the family’s monthly income should not exceed Rs. 350,000.

The scholarship covers a wide range of undergraduate programs, including BS, BA, BSc, MBBS, and similar degrees.

What's Covered and How to Apply?

This fully merit-based scholarship will cover 100% of the tuition fees, aiming to empower talented but financially limited students to pursue their studies without worrying about costs.

Applicants can apply online through the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) portal. No hard copy applications will be accepted. The last date to submit applications is September 15, 2025. For help during the application process, students can reach out to the PHEC helpline.

Why This Matters?

Education experts anticipate that this large-scale scholarship program will significantly expand access to higher education in Punjab. By investing in youth and removing financial barriers, the provincial government is not only promoting meritocracy but also contributing to the development of a more educated and s

killed workforce.
