China Announces Fully Funded BS, MS and PhD Scholarships for Pakistani Students

The government of China, through the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC), has opened an exciting opportunity for Pakistani students: 75 fully-funded scholarships for the academic year 2026-27. These scholarships span Bachelor’s (BS), Master’s (MS) and Doctoral (PhD) programmes and reflect China’s growing educational partnership with Pakistan.

What’s on offer?

The scholarships cover tuition fees, including educational and administrative costs, along with health insurance.

Awardees are eligible for free accommodation (in university dormitories) or a housing subsidy.

A monthly stipend is provided under CSC policy. However, travel expenses to China must be borne by the student.

For undergraduates, a one-year Chinese language preparatory course is included unless the student already holds a valid HSK Level 3 certificate.

For Master’s and PhD students, programmes taught in both English and Chinese are available.

The HEC of Pakistan acts only as the nominating agency; it does not bear any financial liability for the scholarship.

Why this matters

This fully-funded opportunity gives Pakistani students expensive study-abroad options without the heavy cost burden. With tuition, accommodation, and stipends included, students can focus on learning and research rather than finances. Additionally, the move strengthens educational ties between China and Pakistan — aligning with broader cooperation goals.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a motivated Pakistani student aiming for a global education pathway — whether at undergraduate, master’s or doctoral level — this scholarship program is definitely worth exploring. Make sure you check all elig

ibility criteria, prepare the documentation early, apply via both portals, and meet the deadline.
